Well at first when I opened it I though I purchased the wrong thing because it looked smaller that the Kindle, but I was wrong it fits perfectly.
But as I said it needs improvements. For example every time I need to put the Kindle to sleep or want to turn it off I need to open the cover because the layer cover it.
And also every time I want to connect it to charge it or to transfer files from my computer I need to get it completely out of the cover because it does not have a open thing like for example the Iphone covers that let you connect it without taking it out.
I think that for the price it should have been much better, but for me is more expensive and troublesome to return it now so I’ll keep it.
And another recommendation will be to rethink the plastic material that covers the screen, because it creates a glare that its troublesome while reading under certain lights.
And if possible to add a more protective cover could be a good option, because I mainly bough it to protect my kindle but against falls I think it does very little, but against dust and humidity its very good.

This Kindle cover stinks, literally.
As soon as I pulled it out of the packaging I could smell it… that gross chemical smell that sometimes emits from plastics and other unnatural products. I really don’t like using this cover because I don’t want to smell it. I’ll probably return it and get a real leather slip cover once they become available for the DX.

There were already a couple of reviews up when I decided to buy.
Cons:
It does, as another noted, smell like plastic. I also find myself pulling the “front” side open before I slide the Kindle in so that I don’t “break” the 5 way button. That isn’t really going to happen as the 5 way is pretty resilient feeling. Still, I would have liked to have seen a little “channel” or raised bit that sloped down. They could have pressed a little indention in to where that knob hits at the rim and helped avoid this feeling.
Pro:
It adds inconsequential bulk and weight to the Kindle DX while offering significant protection. I feel very comfortable leaving the Kindle “exposed” on a coffee table or cluttered desk while in this sleeve. It also does the job in the backpack. I’m not worried about the laptop and a thick hardback (that I haven’t finished since I got the kindle) crushing or damaging the Kindle while sharing backpack space. If I throw the Kindle in the passenger seat and then pile a little mail and a water bottle on top of it that is okay too. The fit is snug enough to not worry about the Kindle slipping out but not so tight that it is a pain to remove the Kindle and it does not feel tight when inserting the Kindle.

Well, it didn’t survive an afternoon in my car. The protective sleeve was irrevocably warped, and beyond use or repair. Granted, the Kindle wasn’t in the case; maybe I should have thought better than to think that a cover designed to protect a $500 piece of equipment should survive an afternoon in my vehicle, but if I’m going to shell out some dough for a good case, maybe I was hoping to pay for a product that could withstand minor exposure to the elements.
No fault of the manufacturer, but I also wanted a product that’s in tune with my habits–protect and forget. It may be the best option for people who don’t mind buying a case that needs its intended recipient of protection to survive a single afternoon in warm weather. Perhaps an open-sleeve encasement style (allowing button/screen access) might give Kindle owners an incentive to just leave the sleeve on 24/7, and avoid this little mishap altogether. For everyone else, a “notebook-binding” style encasement is definitely the better choice.

Before making a buying decision, I thoroughly researched the available options for a cover for my Kindle DX. My decision to purchase the OCTO Faux Leather Kindle Sleeve was based on (1) customer reviews, (2) the features of this product, and (3) the fact that the price of the alternatives didn’t seem to offer any corresponding benefit. The OCTO sleeve is durable, well-constructed, and the Kindle fits snuggly inside and does not slide around. Consequently, I don’t have to worry about it falling out while I’m carrying it around. The sleeve isn’t bulky and it has no mechanical parts that could damage the Kindle reader. It has enough rigidity to support the Kindle on my lap but is light enough that it doesn’t add significantly to the overall weight of the Kindle. I carry my Kindle in my briefcase and the sleeve serves to protect it nicely. In one customer review I had read that the four-way controller tended to catch on the sleeve as the device was being inserted, and that did raise a concern (although it was the only negative comment that I found about this product). However, in practice I found this was not a problem at all. This continues to be my choice of all the alternatives I have seen to-date.
