For an extra bit of protection, I took the foam inserts that were inside the covers (my wife and I each have one) when shipped and placed them into the front pockets. This adds a little to the thickness and protection of the cover but not any weight.

This case is definitely bright orange, like traffic cone orange. I found a couple of frayed treads along the inside of the cover and the zipper is a little tight around the edges which require you to wiggle the zipper to get it to close. It does seem sturdy and protective. The inside grey fabric is a soft fleece material which leads me to believe it won’t scratch the screen.

I’m really impressed with this jacket. As stated in the previous review, it is a very bright orange, but that’s why I chose it. It will be easy to see in the bottom of a dark colored purse or bag. I was concerned after reading on review of this product (in another color) that my Kindle would be slightly too big for the cover and prevent it from being easily closed, but it fits perfectly. I like that it has a zipper pocket on the from for my charging cable, and that I can access all of the buttons with ease. The loops to keep my Kindle firmly in place, but it is still easy to get it out if need be. All in all I think that this case was a good investment.

I just received my M-edge Latitude Jacket, I ordered this one as oposed to the other ones because of the zippers. It has two pockets where you can put som other kindle accessories (I’m waiting on the m-edge light to come out again). My first impression was that it didn’t hold the kindle as snuggly as I hoped becaue the hinges seemed too big on the kindle, but after moving it around a bit (The case with the kindle in it) it proved me wrong: it fits just nicely. I can operate all the buttons and charge it without having to remove the kindle. The power switch is a little awkward at first, but I tried it several times, and it’s just fine now. You can flip the cover as a book as well, and the cover doesn’t add too much bulk to my kindle.

The only thing I didn’t like very much is that it’s much brighter than the picture, it takes some time getting used to the bright orange! Other than that, I recommend it.
