I purchased this produce with the reading light. In the beginning, I was very pleased. It is an extremely nice looking jacket. But having used it for about a month, my opinion has changed.

The center tongue is in the way when I read. I have to try and fold it back, but it still sticks out. It is right where your “next page” and “home” button are. Those are the two most requently pushed buttons on my device.

The front flap does not want to flip all the way around. It creases when I try to make it fold back.

Also, because there is room for the light inside the case, it really does ad quite a bit of bulk.

Personally, I feel I would have been happier had I chosen a different M-Edge cover. The leather is beautiful. The craftmanship is wonderful. The color divine. Just the ergonomics are a bit awkward for me.

I bought the Amazon cover when I first bought the Kindle. It was nice and protected it. BUT with this new cover…..some improvements have been noticed. I like that there is space in the spine that will hold the light and earphones. I like that there is a place opposite where the Kindle sits to put a notepad. I like that there is space to put a pen and still put the strap into the outer portion to hold the whole “book” together. It seems to work great! I may get it in a different color.

This is the 2nd executive model I bought, the first was the pebbled purple. For some reaon, although the regular cover fit great, these do not fit as well. It is a struggle to get the kindle onto the hooks and to get it latched. It’s almost like the form is just slightly off. On the normal cover it slides on easily with no fuss but for the executive I had to struggle and ended up denting the kindle at the insertion point because the sliding catch is just that little bit lower than the hole it is supposed to go into. I am hoping the tight fit doesn’t crack the case but we’ll see. I do like the features of the light pocket but I don’t see the need for having any other pockets in the cover. After storing a printed piece of paper once with my kindle I found the ink had rubbed off on the kindle and I haven’t been able to really get it clean since. I do like the protection afforded by the cover and I love the feel and color. If they could just revisit the hooks to find out what the problem might be this could be a 5 star product.

Even with all the problems though it is far and away better than the amazon product.

I hope I’m not the only person who has multiple jackets for their Kindle. I have the M-Edge marbled red and green hinge jackets – and now I have the pink jacket too! This one has the nice hinge to lock the device in place. The color is as shown online – a bright bubble gum pink. However, I don’t know if I’d call it “marbled” leather. My red jacket is a very smooth, polished, marbled leather. This pink cover is smooth but not polished (but not pebbled, though). Just the same, I do love it. Hey, M-Edge, thanks for donating the 10% to breast cancer research. Why not make a HUGE statement and crank it up to 15 or 20%? :) Love you, M-Edge.
