This product is terrible. The screen protector is impossible to place and its’ adhesive is too strong. It took me 1 1/2 hrs to get it off and that was using my drivers license. Thankfully I do not ruin the Kindle’s screen.

As far as the silicon skin is concerned; it is too thick to be used along with Amazon’s case for the Kindle 2. In my mind this makes it useless. This was to be added protection along with the cover. Who wants to keep taking it out of the cover to place the skin on it. Then take the skin off to place it back into the cover. It is easier to fold the leather cover back and leave it in there.

The screen protector won’t apply very well. Good luck getting it on without any bubbles.

The skin barely fits on there. It’s loose and tacky.

I’m SO GLAD I spent money on this junk. Why doesn’t a respected, well-established company make screen protectors and skins for the Kindle? THAT’s what I want to know.

This fit way too loosely on my Kindle 2. Since it’s silicone, I expected it to fit snugly, but that is far from the case. The LCD screen protector is also horrible. I tried everything to keep bubbles from being trapped between the screen and the protector (using a credit card to push the protector down, laying it slowly from left to right or up to down), and there wre still little bubbles. This isn’t a huge deal, but when you’re reading and looking at the Kindle screen, it can distract you a bit. Plus, if you’re going to drop $350 on a Kindle, the accessories should compliment it. You shouldn’t have to settle for a ghetto-looking screen.

Definitely don’t purchase this. I was more than disappointed.

The skin is fine if using alone. It is too thick to be compatible with a case or cover. Someone needs to come up with a screen cover that allows bubbles to escape, fits correctly (this one is a bit too wide) and does not attract every piece of lint, dust…this is not it. Good stuff is not cheap; cheap stuff is not good.

I’m happy with my Kindle 2 Silicone case. It fits my Kindle well, is lightweight and translucent so that I can see the side buttons. Like one of the other reviewers noted, the case works well for at home reading. It is comfortable for me to hold my Kindle and read at my leisure. However, on my day-to-day commute to and from work or elsewhere, I use my Cole Haan leather cover (which I give 5 stars as I love it!). There are a couple of things that prevent me from giving this case 5 stars:

    1. It doesn’t provide any protection for the keyboard. I’m not sure why the makers of this case wouldn’t provide any covering for the keyboard, but they don’t. I almost regret throwing away the plastic protective sheet that came with the Kindle’s packing.

    2. As other reviewers mentioned, the screen protector is worthless. It is a dust and lint magnet. I use my case without the screen protector. Since I only use the case when I’m reading at home vs. when I’m carrying it in my purse or backpack, this point isn’t too big of a deal for me.

Overall, the case is worth the purchase if the two issues mentioned above don’t conflict with your needs. Otherwise, I’m sure there are other cases out there that provide good protection for the whole Kindle, body, keyboard and the screen.
