It REALLY stinks. Right now it is 6 feet away from me and I can smell it. For $40 you can expect a reasonable leather case. Given that this case is NOT LEATHER I expected a good quality case. Instead I got just an average quality case (stiching is not perfect) and terrible smell.

All of the items that I have purchased thru Amazion has been of excellant quality and the price is very reasonable.

I purchased this Kindle cover back in February after a lot of investigating, but decided to wait a while before posting my review. The cover fits the Kindle perfectly and I love that.
The only negative issue was the smell – when it first came out of the bag. I immediately contacted the manufacturer who quickly responded that the smell was due to the glue that they used, and that they’d look into other options for future products. (Let’s hope so!) I told them that I liked the style of the cover so much that I would give it a chance to dissipate. They were very kind and agreed to help me return the cover – if it came to that.
I’m happy to say that that 4 months later, the smell is definitely not as bad as when I first got it, but there is still a slight odor. So, when I’m not using the Kindle, I make sure the cover is left open to continue to air it out.
Overall, I agree with everyone else that the cover is an excellent style. The openings are all in the right places and it provides excellent protection to your device. It would be nice though if the cover was made of better quality materials. I’d even pay more for that!
All in all, it’s a great product. The manufacturer only needs to work on the materials used.

This is a nice sized cover that keeps the “Kindle Package” slim for fitting into my purse.
The shipping was fast, too. I received it two days before I expected it.
Four small downsides:
1. The cover makes it a little difficult to use the ‘wake-up’ button.
2. The cover doesn’t fit real well on the left side, harder to press those buttons.
3. This one is just my OCD kicking in, but, when closed, the edges are not quite lined up, just off by a few centimeters. See? I warned you: OCD.
4. There is only a small indented logo to let you know where the top cover is. Because of this, I sometimes lay it face down (in the closed case) and/or try to open it from the wrong side. Yeah, it’s just me not paying attention, but I’m going to have to put something on the front of the cover to make this process easier.
Overall: I think it’s a great cover for the price.

After a lot of investigation I decided to get the Trendy Digital MaxGuard Plus Kindle Cover in Black. The fact that it holds the Kindle firmly in a pocket and is padded makes this the ideal case for the Kindle. Having access to all controls is another plus. I would definitely buy this cover again.
