I really enjoy my Kindle…however I knew in advance it needed a redesign and given a spot to hold it without advancing a page. It gets annoying quickly…but I wanted it NOW!

USE BOTH ITEMS ALL THE TIME..I EAT MEALS OUT AND FIND I CAN EASILY USE THE”PROP UP” FACTOR OF THE CASE..

What I purchased was a first generation Kindle accessory gift for the wife a few Christmas’s back. The accessory cover protected the Kindle well and allowed for it to be propped for reading off a flat surface. The item I’m asked to review is for the second generation which obviously will not fit the first generation properly.

I must admit that I wasn’t sure what I was going to get when I ordered this, the picture on the main search page was correct, Kindle caught at 4 corners and the cover will prop it up when set down. The picture when I clicked for more infomation was completely different.
I am happy with it, except for the fact that the black leather is discoloring my Kindle. I am not sure what to do about it, I might try weather proffing the leather. This may only be a problem with the black version of the part.

I bought this case for my mom’s birthday, as she received a Kindle 2 from someone else. I have to admit that when I opened the package and saw how small a thing I had just spent $40 on, I was let down. The fact that the book light was generic and not labeled for the Kindle made it seem cheap (silly, but true). Once I gave it to Mom, and she put the case on the Kindle, I realized that it completely made up for poor presentation. It fits perfectly, so the Kindle is safe from slipping out while she’s reading. She can prop it up easily. I bought the red one, which is very stylish and attractive. It gives the Kindle 2 more the appearance of a luxery item and not just another piece of tech. I HIGHLY recommend this case.
