The light gold is perfect and I feel that my Kindle has the protection it needs for carrying around.

I have the M-edge prodigy cover in “gold” (although it is more silver) and I have it in green.

    PROS:

    1. Stays closed with the hinge.

    2. Good quality leather with a lot of padding

    3. Convenient pocket inside cover

    4. Secure hinge attachement of the kindle with 2 elastic bands to secure the opposite side in place

    5. Holds the m-edge light securely..even stores it in the spine

    CONS:

    1. The hinge flap sticks out when open and I find that I have to hold it out of the way so it doesnt get in the way of reading.

    2. This cover is quite heavy and adds weight to the kindle

    3. The inside material is a grey suede and after months of use, turns black and dirty with time. Looks ugly after a while

    4. I folded the front cover all the way back with my first m-edge prodigy cover and the spine became very flimsy and weakened after doing this time after time.

The second cover, I kept open like a book style and never folded it all the way back, but the problem with the flap as mentioned in 1. was annoying.

    5. Overall bulk is greatly increased with the m-edge light always stored there. I guess it depends on your preference…on the one hand, it is always conveniently

there, but on the other, the entire thing ends up being big, heavy, and cumbersome.

Overall, I wish there was an option for black suede interior so dirt wont show, and that the closure mechanism was different so it didn’t get in my way. Also, some “hipper” styles would be nice.

I really adore the leather that M-Edge uses and the gold finishing was surprisingly luxurious.

The M-Edge Prodigy was purchased along with my Kindle 2 for x-mas ‘09. When I received the cover, I was delighted with the quality of the cover. HOWEVER, to my dismay the metal hinges which are used to support the Kindle on the sides, cracked the top of my Kindle cover!!. Fortunately Amazon replaced my Kindle immediately. To avoid this potential problem, don’t buy!!!!!

When I first recieved my cover in December, I could see why the reviewer above said it seems as if the cover is reluctant to bend all the way back. I felt a little bit of resistance but forced it just once, and now my cover wraps back perfectly every time. What I like about it is I can take the strap and secure it in backwards so that it creates a tri-pod type component to my Kindle. I don’t have to hold it in my hands anymore!

I use this constantly–travel with it, have it around toddlers, and shove it in my backpack. It’s been three months…it still looks as good as new. No cracking! :) I took a lot of time looking for a cover for my Kindle (I personally think selection for the Nook is better) but I decided that this timeless cover would be perfect whether I need to whip it out in a meeting or read it on the bus.

I would not only recommend this light gold color, I would recommend any M Edge cover. Also, the pockets on the inside are great for slips of paper!

    Happy Kindle shopping!
