I had to replace the original adaptor and plug (they come as a 2 part set only) after the (tiny) plug part was lost in a suitcase on a trip. First I went to Radio Shack and they sold me a replacement it is not compatible with the Kindle. I ordered the replacement was which sent promptly. After re-charging, I left the plug part in the wall and was once again unable to charge the Kindle while on a trip! Fortunately, the plug part was right there in the wall when I returned. They should have come up with another way to charge this gadget!!

My wife and I bought two of these. They are advertised to work on 220V European current but they do not. After one minute of being plugged in to 220V there is a loud pop and they are dead.

The Kindle downloads my book selcetions in under a minute. The books cost less then if I were to purchase them in a store. Kindle also sends you free samples of any book you want to view before you decide to purchase. I can access any book I want to purchase. I love the dictionay ficture, and it is very easy to use.

Watch out WalMart! Jeff’s organization will be (probably already in progress) making Kindle the NEW SOURCE for purchasing just about ANYTHING IMAGINABLE from the Kindle Whispernet Network! At 300.00 a share, it’s a buy of a lifetime! Way to go Jeff!!! Oh, the product … the Kindle is WONDERFUL!!!
