Just received my case and I very happy with my purchase. It holds the Kindle safely in place and easy to hold while reading. Since I just received it I cant quote on its durability but I can tell that if I was to accidentally drop it that it will protect it. I like the stlye of it and I really like the latch on the side holding it even more safely in the case. Its a great case and a great price. I highly recommend it!!!

In short: Spend the extra money, get the official Kindle cover. The hinges that hold the Kindle in place on the Nero cover are plastic and break very easily. Mine lasted less than a day. The hinges on the official cover are much more durable.

I read the weight of this cover was supposed to be 3 oz. I noticed it seemed to be heavy. It weights 7 oz. By the time you add the weight of the kindle it is much heavier than I want. Why can’t they be honest and give the correct information. I wish I had not bought it. I guess if you don’t mind the weight it is ok.

I really like this cover. It’s a nice sturdy cover and I haven’t had any issues with the rail system.

My Kindle 2 is something that I put a bit of money into, and was looking for a case to protect this investment. While there are quite a few very nice looking cases available, I also needed to watch my budget. This Nero case from BoxWave did not disappoint. First off, it was significantly less expensive than the comparable leather cases available. Second, I am very pleased with the aesthetics (smooth black leather) and durability of it. All in all, best Kindle cover for the money hands down.
