After I purchased the Kindle for my wife, I held off selecting a skin case for it because there were many choices and the prices seemed to vary a great deal. After we received the Kindle I went back to look at my choices and spent a bit of time reviewing the possibilities. I kept coming back to this one because it offered two skins, one black and one clear, and the price was incredibly reasonable, much better in fact than others offering only one skin. They even included a couple of plastic screen protectors.
I found them to be of very high quality, comfortable to hold, they fit the Kindle perfectly not interfering with any of its functions, and they provided the necessary slip resistance when the Kindle was set down on any surface. Given the quality, the price, and the match for the Kindle, I have no complaints. This is a no brainer purchase.

Well I think its to loose around the kindle and raised letters would be better!

These skins are seriously well made for the Kindle 2. Besides the bump protection that the silicon gives, the friction that the skin gives my fingers provides a more secure grip on the Kindle. These skins blunt impacts and give me a secure grip. I really like them and though I guess I didn’t need two, the deal was too good to pass up. Especially since they came with screen covers which fit nicely. I still keep my Kindle in a case for when I carry it out of the house but the Kindle fits even with its skin and together they afford tremendous protection.

I wanted a rubber skin for my Kindle like I have for my Blackberry, so I purchased this set from My Gift. They fit very well, though it is a little loose around the inside edges, possibly from having to pull it on. This has no ill effect on function or appearance and I highly recommend these skins as a must-have for any Kindle. The set of two skins came with screen protectors, and though I was apprehensive about using them because of some negative reviews that I had read online, I found them to be easy to apply and effective.

These are really quite nice and they look/work just like you’d expect them to…
They have holes in the side so that you can still insert the Kindle into a sleeve or some other holder, however they might be too thick to really allow that to happen. The only cover I have is the standard amazon leather cover and I can’t have the silicone skin on AND put it into the cover at the same time. Perhaps there is some other cover that has a wider tolerance… or some other attachment that uses those locking slots which I’m unaware of. Either way, don’t plan on using the skin AND the leather cover at the same time. I generally put the skin on, then place the kindle (loose) in the leather cover when I place it into a bag with other items. That way, the screen is protected from impacts with keys and other such debris.
