This is a very nice cover–I really like the elastic that holds it closed. But my pink cover came with a dirt smudge already on the outside–indicating that it would probably get quite dirty with use. I opted for the purple M-edge leather cover with the inside hooks that hold the Kindle in place (in addition to 2 elastic corners–but be aware that the hooks in the leather cover inhibit placement of the M-edge reading light on the inside. I slip the light in on the top and fold it around the outside corner and down the side when not in use. Not ideal.

Love this Kindle2 cover, the ease of placing the kindle is a plus, and I don’t have to worry about cracking because it has no hindge.

While pondering which Kindle case I should purchase for my favorite little piece of technology, I took in to consideration what I wanted from a case. I wanted it to open like a book (to give me that good ol’ dead-tree-book feel), stay closed to protect the screen if I placed it in a purse, hold the Kindle securely, and look really cute! This case did all of the above, and I am quite pleased with it! I was a little worried when I purchased it that the elastic bands would not hold the Kindle safely in place, but I am pleased at how snug the elastic is on the top corners. My Kindle is not going anywhere! You can still get to all of the buttons and plug-ins, so the case can be kept on while reading, charging, or listening to headphones. I don’t use a booklight, so I can’t comment on how it would work with one, but for everything I needed this case for, I thought it was perfect.

    And the colors look great!
