Like it a LOT! The corner tabs hold the Kindle securely, the cover is lightweight, easy to hold, and I love the elastic strap. One use for it that hadn’t been mentioned which is very convenient is that if you want to read with the front cover moved all the way to the back, you can secure it there with the elastic. Very good for putting it on a table for hands-free reading. Only complaint would be that the black cover, while nice to the touch, does collect lint, dog hairs, etc. But it’s easily cleaned with one of those sticky rollers.

I ordered one of these with my new Kindle and I love it. It does not require a hook to fasten the Kindle inside, so there is no risk of cracking the plastic case as reviews of other covers have noted. It’s padded and provides reasonable protection for your Kindle. Also, it’s lightweight and the canvas cover is easy to clean.

I ordered this cover in large part because it has the elastic closure strap. I use notebooks with this feature and love how things inside stay protected. I did not want a sleeve as I preferred to have the Kindle inside it’s cover all the time — I did not want to end up with 2 things to carry – the Kindle and the sleeve.

This cover gives the right mix of a cover and a sleeve. As a cover, it securely holds the Kindle in place without obstructing any operating buttons, power switch, headphone port, or charging port. When closed, the elastic closure holds the cover snugly, even slipping a business card inside when closed has proven difficult. While not waterproof, I believe this will keep my Kindle safe in the carry-on during travel.

When reading, the cover opens to lay flat or easily folds back to feel a little more like a traditional book in your hands.

Only complaint is that the cover is made of canvas and I’ve already gotten it a little dirty. If it had been leather, it’d be clean….

Well my brother bought me and my sister kindles as a gift and when these cases came in I looked at them thinking… I dunno, I am not sure if I am going to trust this case because I wanted to protect the investment that my brother made but honestly I actually perfere this case over all the others. Even though it has corner straps it holds your kindle in place. I DOESN’T MOVE!!! I would rather back the corner straps instead of the prongs going into the kindle and cause the kindle to break.

I was looking for a less expensive option for my Kindle but wanted it to work with the M-edge light. This does have the sleeve for the light but it is on the upper right corner of the cover NOT along the inside spline of the cover like all the others so you cannot leave the light attached and close the cover and expect it to be protected. It would have been nice to know that before purchasing this item. The cover itself is fairly nice, it does hold the Kindle very securely and makes it easier to hold for long periods of time, more like holding a traditional paperback. The material is soft to the touch and everything seems to be put together well. I think the cover will serve to protect my Kindle from basic wear and tear in my bag or laying on the coffee table, however I do not think it will provide much protection from a drop or any other rougher handling. I would have been a lot happier if the item would have been sold for around $20.00 instead of $34.00 as I think it is a little over priced for the functionality, protection, and quality it offers.
