My Navy Blue/Grey Kindle Bag arrived in good shape, with good timing and I am quite pleased.

The Kindle 2 clearly will fit into the fleece-lined special internal zipper pouch which is accessible from the outside as well. However, I use Amazon’s leather cover on my Kindle2 and it doesn’t reasonably seem to fit into this pocket. Yet, it fits nicely in the roomier front section which is also zippered, well padded and there is a very durable nylon clasp to keep a larger flap closed over the zipper and bag providing further protection from the elements. There are a couple of smaller internal mesh pockets for organization. The construction overall is quite durable. To me it is attractive as well. It would not be waterproof in the submersible sense, but it seems that it would be nicely water resistant for short trips outdoor if it is properly fastened.

There is indeed a good amount of room to store my power cord, a small reading light or reading glasses. Alternatively, if one doesn’t need these accessories, there would be space for an iPod, ear buds plus my airline ticket and passport when travelling. For women it could also serve for carrying the essentials that one keeps in a purse (in the travelling moderately light form).

Dare I admit it?? — there is actually room as well for a thin notepad and pen for those of us who are not yet ready to surrender our old habits. It would be wise to pay attention to separating “scratchy” items from the Kindle screen, either by keeping the bare Kindle in its zippered pocket or having a Kindle cover as I currently use.

I anticipate getting a lot of satisfying use from this product. The Journey Bag definitely makes it more feasible to invite my Kindle to accompany me during daily activities.

    Nice job — M-Edge.

I have been looking for a good bag to carry my K1. I saw this one, and liked the look. The one drawback for me was that the product description said the fleece inner pocket would hold the K1 or K2 WITHOUT THE COVER. My K1 only comes out of the cover if I have to do a re-set or battery change. No way would I take it anywhere naked! I sent M-Edge an e-mail, asking if K1 inside its lovely M-Edge cover would fit in the center compartment.

I got a response the next day, saying that it would, and that it would also fit in the fleece pocket – the fleece pocket just wouldn’t zip. Since the outer pocket does zip, I figured it would be worth a try.

I received it the other day, and am more than pleased. It’s extremely posh looking, the K1 fits just fine – nice and snug, there are mesh pockets that hold the USB and power cords, a spare battery, spare light and still room for other things.

I am more than pleased – M-Edge has done it again!
