This product is terrible. The screen protector is impossible to place and its’ adhesive is too strong. It took me 1 1/2 hrs to get it off and that was using my drivers license. Thankfully I do not ruin the Kindle’s screen.
As far as the silicon skin is concerned; it is too thick to be used along with Amazon’s case for the Kindle 2. In my mind this makes it useless. This was to be added protection along with the cover. Who wants to keep taking it out of the cover to place the skin on it. Then take the skin off to place it back into the cover. It is easier to fold the leather cover back and leave it in there.

When I first received my Kindle for Mother’s day, I was skeptical. I stare at a computer all day and hate reading from it. Most of the time, I will print what I need to read instead of reading directly from the screen. Headaches, backaches, boredom, and eyestrain are among the few pet peeves I have for reading from the computer screen.
When I read my first book on Kindle – Edward’s Twilight – I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to use and how great the reading experience is! I can change the font when necessary, go back’n'forth from the menu to the exact place in the book where I left off, and shop and download from the Kindle store in minutes!
I haven’t read this much in years and I love it! That said, I only download books for “leisure” reading since I like to flip around in my reference books (self help, cooking, etc).
My Kindle is my “baby” and I take it everywhere with me! I charge it during the night when I notice the battery is getting low and off I go!
The selection of books for the Kindle at Amazon is great. Searching for favorite authors or genre is very easy and the supply seems endless. I still consider myself a “new” user and I’m learning about the online community and how to archive materials. Other than that, I am VERY happy with my Generation 2 Kindle and thrilled to recommend it to anyone who asks … “what is THAT?”

I recently purchased my Kindle 2 and wanted some cover to protect my investment. I had wondered if the decorated skins would be visible thru the clear silicone cover and decided to take a chance and buy both. The silicone cover arrived first so I put it on the Kindle so it would be protected. It seemed to fit OK, so I didn’t think much about it. When the decorative skin showed up, I removed the silicone & applied the new one. For starters, I bought a decorative skin that is very bold in color (red, black, grey & white). It does show up beneath the silicone cover, but the detail is somewhat muted. Still can see the pattern, so that’s OK. But I have had the issue with the skin now being loose on the right and left side edges. I wonder if there is a way to shrink it (either heat or cold), just enough so it fits a little snugger.
The screen protector is impossible to get into place without the ever-present bubbles showing up. I’m leaving mine in place but doubt I would put another on a future electronic device.

I bought this after reading the positive reviews. It took forever to get, but once I did, it was not the exact style as pictured. I received one with a band between the screen and keyboard. Also the text was black on black and completely unreadable, except in a bright light. It’s not white on black as shown in the picture. I had looked at that style, as well, and deliberately chose this one. I’m guessing the styles are interchangeable when ordered, though, at least as far as I have been able to discover.
The silicone skin fits snugly, with easy access to the buttons, including the 5-Way. However, I decided the cutouts were not what I wanted after all and I wanted my Kindle completely enclosed. Once I actually had my Kindle, I was also concerned about pasting something on my brand new screen and decided that wasn’t for me.
You get what you pay for and for the money, this skin will suit some people nicely. However, for those who are more particular, you will probably want a skin that does cover and protect the entire Kindle. It will cost more, but they are out there.

This product is OK. My first skin arrived promptly. After inserting my Kindle into it I noticed a bulge in the silocone to the right of the screen, it didn’t fit tightly. I contacted the company, sent them a picture and their response was quick and professional. They immediately shipped me out a new one free of charge. They explained that sometimes heat can cause the silicone to expand and not fit properly. I installed the new one and noticed the same issue, actually a little worse with this one. I chalked it up to experience and never re-contacted the company, it was only a $15 product.
